Meadow High School Learners build a bench for their Garden

26th Feb 2019

Meadow High School is a Special needs School. Learners come to Innov8 Training & Development to learn small areas of Construction.

The group we work with are a post-16 aged 16-18 years. The group wanted to build something that they could take back to their school and have on display in the Sensory Garden.

They came up with the idea of a bench for their garden in the School. The group sat down in the class and came up with a few ideas that they all wanted work on.

From this we merged the ideas together and came up with a shopping list and a tool list.

All the preparation was done by all the learners and the they all played a part in the activity. They successfully built a bench, which they were all very proud of!

Once the bench built was completed, the Innov8 team was able to take it to the school and place it in the garden for them to use.
